Anderson’s Fruit Crisp Pies
Great fruit pies with crispy crumble topping! Excellent with Apples, Peaches, Cherries, and most Berries
Ingredients Filling:
10 Apples (Braeburn my favorite) (3 or 4 pounds of Fruit)
1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Clove
Ingredients Topping:
1 cup Rolled Oats
1/2 cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts
1/4 cup Cranberries (Dried) or Sour Cherries (Dried)
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar (Packed)
1/2 cup White Flour
1/2 cup Melted Butter
Prep:
-Peel, Quarter, and Slice Apples. Place Apples in large bowl and add sugar and spices slowly as you fold the apples in the bowl.
*Process is identical for all fruits. Some fruits of course do not need to be sliced or peeled.
-Once all sugar and spices are added place evenly into 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
-Mix oats, nuts, brown sugar, and flour until blended well. Stir in melted butter until fully moistened.
-Cover apples evenly with topping.
Cook:
-Preheat oven to 350°F
-Place in preheated oven and bake 50 minutes or until golden brown.
